Eclipse Cocktail Bars are currently celebrating 100 years of Master Mixology with their Museum of Cocktails event at the Harvey Nichols Fifth Floor Cafe, part of London Cocktail Week.
Ten of the most iconic cocktails from the last century – from the Manhattan of the 1920s, to the 1960’s Vodka Martini, or the Bramble of the 1980s – will be showcased by Eclipse Master Mixology, allowing customers to also learn about the history of each cocktail. Vintage recipe cards will be available for any budding mixologists to take home to recreate their favourite cocktail through the “Museum of Cocktails” catalogue at home. For something from the present decade, Eclipse Cocktail Bar’s signature cocktail – their watermelon martini, The Eclipse – will also be available at the event.
All cocktails will be made using Grey Goose Vodka, Bombay Sapphire or Bacardi Rum, with each selected to reflect the era at the time the cocktail was most popular. The mixology step back in time goes further with vintage cocktail items from the 20th century on display alongside some of the original bottles.
The Cafe will also be home to an mini Eclipse booth during the week that is perfect for brand master classes for perfect serves and vertical spirit tastings.
On until Sunday 16th October, the Museum of Cocktails event is a perfect way of sampling cocktails through the ages and will surely entice you to have a go making your own at home!
